W elcome to Damn Good Cup.
We are a collective of Directors, producers, writers, animators and editors specialising in video production/ online film journalism and other media. Fresh from a multitude of degrees and certificates we are looking to get our work out there. Inside you will find reviews, interviews, showreels and other hopefully interesting bits and pieces. We focus in commercial film making with an art-house slant. One thing we hate is how commercial/popular work is barely considered to be an “art.” In our work our aim is to bridge the gap between the two. We love, blockbusters, novels, comic books, Sci-fi and what some people call “high art”…No pretensions…to us it’s all in the same bag: ITS ART!
Our company name comes from our love of David Lynch’s awesome Twin Peaks. Detective Dale Cooper has a love for the simple things. Coffee and pie. “This is a damn good cup of Coffee” he exclaims in one episode… It doesn’t matter what it is; whether it be Y, the last man, 100 bullets, Schindler’s List or whatever the heck… It’s all just Coffee to us.
